Swamp Dog Farm is proud to host a number of Events including Hunt Tests, Field Trials, Field Dog Tests, Seminars, Workshops, Classes, Training Days, Obedience or Other Canine Sports.    

• Make sure to read Farm Rules, they apply to everyone.    

• If you wish to book the Property, Training Areas and/or Barn for Events please contact SDF a minimum of 30 days in advance.    

• We offer different ways to book to accommodate the various events and number of people/ dogs attending.  Please scroll through details below.  

• To book any Event, a copy of club or individual liability insurance must be available, listing Barbara Loree, Kathy Miner, Bradley & Danette Weich O/A Swamp Dog Farm, 7531 Albert Rd., Black Creek BC V9J 1G4 as "additional insured".  

• Use of your own Club's or personal ATV's require special permission and insurance to be used during an Event.

If you have booked the Barn or require access to it during your Event, please let us know in advance:

• If you need to open/close the large garage glass door. 

• Require use of equipment in the Barn such as tables, chairs, fans, bird drying racks, obedience equipment, white boards, mirrors, freezers etc.

• If you need to defrost or dry birds in the Barn.  

• If you would like to use the woodstove. 

Please take the time to vacuum the barn if needed and leave the barn as you found it, or a cleaning fee may apply. 

We realize Porta Potty fees can be a large portion of Event Costs since it is a large portion of our cost to maintain a training property.   SDF has two Porta Potties on the property, one located by the Barn and the other by T6 Trailer Training Area.

• A Porta Potty fee is $75 for one clean out of one Porta Potty.   

• The fee for clean out of the Barn Porta Potty is included in some of our Event Bookings.  *Additional clean out fees of $75 may apply depending on number of Event days & number of people attending.  Maximum capacity for Porta Potty use at an Event is approximately 40 people per 8-hours/2 days.  If your event has over 40 people and/or extends beyond 2 days, you may need to make arrangements for additional clean outs or you may need to rent an additional Porta Potty which can cost $250 to $400 for one weekend.   Alternatively, you can contact us for access to the T6 Porta Potty and additional $75 clean out fee will apply. 

• Emergency clean outs and weekend clean outs are expensive (usually double the cost of a regular clean out) so planning ahead is important.   

Booking the Property for Tests or Trials.  

• $10 per Dog Running Fee(s) per day with a minimum charge of $300 per day.  Running Dog Fees only apply to paid entries, they do not apply to test dogs, bye dogs, set up dogs or scratches.    

• $75 clean out fee for Barn Porta Potty applies to Test or Trial Event bookings.   *Additional clean out fees may apply depending on Event duration and number of people attending.

Cost includes:

• Access to the Barn.

• Access to all Training Areas except T6 Trailer area.  T6 may be used if access and times are agreed upon in advance of your Event.  An additional clean out fee of $75 will apply for T6 Porta Potty.   

• If we need to close training on the Property for Set Up day(s) before your Event, then the following rates apply:

• $150 for each Set Up day(s)

• $100 for afternoon Set Up starting at 1pm.   

• $50 for evening Set Up starting at 5pm.

Access to the Property the day after a Test or Trial for clean-up is no charge.  ​

GST is added to all invoices.

Training before or after Tests or Trials is usually not allowed and not included.  

Booking the Barn and/or T7 Barn Field for Tests or Trials.  

• $5 per Dog Running Fee(s) per day with a minimum charge of $150 per day.  Running Dog Fees only apply to paid entries, they do not apply to test dogs, set up dogs or scratches.    

• $75 clean out fee for Barn Porta Potty applies to Test or Trial Event bookings.   *Additional clean out fees may apply depending on Event duration and number of people attending.

Cost includes:

• Access to the Barn and T7 Barn Field.

• Access to another agreed upon area for airing if needed.  

If we need to close training in the Barn or on T7 Barn Field for Set Up day(s) before your Event, then the following rates apply:

• $75 for each Set Up day(s)

• $50 for afternoon Set Up starting at 1pm.   

• $25 for evening Set Up starting at 5pm.

Access to the Barn and T7 Barn Field the day after a Test or Trial for clean-up is no charge.  ​

GST is added to all invoices.

Training before or after Tests or Trials is usually not allowed and not included.  

If you wish to book Club Training Days, Classes, Picnic Trials, Mock Tests or smaller Club Events by booking Training Areas:

• $10 per Dog Fee(s) with a minimum charge of $50.  Puppies under 6 months are free. 

• The *$5 Per Person Fee(s) are waived.   

Cost includes:​

• Use of Barn Porta Potty.  No clean out fee(s).  *Additional Porta Potties may need to be rented depending on number of people attending. 

• Booking a maximum of 3 Training Areas at a time, up to a maximum of 6 per day.  (Barn may be booked as one Training Area).  If you need to book more than 3 Training Areas at a time - there is an additional cost of $50 per Training Area.

• T6 Trailer Area may be booked if access and times are agreed upon in advance of your Event or Class.  An additional clean out fee of $75 will apply for T6 Porta Potty.  

• GST is added to invoices. 

*Anyone who paid the $10 dog fee to attend your Event may train the same day with the same dog.  Only the $5 Per Person fee would be owed to SDF.  ​

Booking the Property for an Event such as Workshops, Seminars, Training Days, Picnic Trials or Mock Tests etc. 

• $350 per day.   

Cost includes:

• $5 Per Person Fee(s) and $10 Dog Fee(s) for the *day.  Puppies under 6 months are free.

• Use of Barn Porta Potty.  No clean out fee(s).  *Additional Porta Potties may need to be rented depending on number of people attending.

• Access to the Barn. 

• Access to all Training Areas except T6 Trailer area.  T6 may be used if access and times are agreed upon in advance of your Event.  An additional clean out fee of $75 will apply for T6 Porta Potty.   

If we need to close training on the Property for Set Up day(s) before your Event, then the following rates apply.

• $150 for each Set Up day(s)

• $100 for afternoon Set Up starting at 1pm.   

• $50 for evening Set Up starting at 5pm.

GST is added to all invoices.

*Anyone who paid to attend your Event may train the same day if you allow training in certain areas before or after your Event.  

You can book the Barn and/or T7 Barn Field for the regular training rate of $5 Per Person PLUS $5 Per Dog using our online booking system.  Puppies under 6 months are Free.  OR

Book by the hour for Classes, Training Days, Workshops or Seminars.   

• $35 for first hour.  Additional 30 min is $15.  Each additional hour is $30.

• Day rate is $175.

Cost Includes:​

• Before and/or after every class you can book a 30 min buffer for set up, take down, a class running late and clean up if needed.  

• Use of Barn Porta Potty.  No clean out fee(s).  *Additional Porta Potties may need to be rented depending on number of people attending.

• Access to Barn and/or T7 Barn Field.

• GST is added to invoices.

• Does your event, workshop, seminar, class, training day require a secure fenced area? 

• There are two areas that are completely fenced with gated access beside the private home that is attached to T6 Training Area.  1) One acre flat mowed field appx 140ft x 300ft or 2) Half acre mowed slightly sloping field.  Contact SDF by email for availability and cost.
